1 Song 3 Versions #11 -- Sweet Dreams

Hello everybody !

Here I am, back with my favourite category of my own blog: 1Song3Versions!
It may seem that I am stucked in the 1980s, but no. There are obviously a lot of songs from this era that I loved, but from the previous posts of this cateory you can already notice, that I do not have a favourite music period nor a favourite music genre: love the Rock of the 1970s, the Hip-Hop of the 1990s, the pop of the 2000s ...

So today's post will be about a very famous song from the 1980s called Sweet Dreams, originally from the sooo 80s British Band Eurythmics.
Even nowadays it is to be heard everywhere in different places all over the world. The song was extremely successful in France, where almost 1 million copies were sold only in the 1983, crazy !!!

Well, let's stop with the gibber jabber and I let you discover the versions I chose to share with you guys. FYI, one version is not a simple cover, but also a sampled song.

The first version: the original from Eurythmics

The second Version: again the King of owning a cover Marilyn Manson

The third Version: Half cover half sample fron NAS

I hope you had fun discovering / rediscovering the song or another version of the the song!

Please do not hesitate to share your impressions with me.

Love and take care guys !

Favorite YouTube Channels #1 -- Knitting Tutorials & Paterns

When Christmas was coming I was always searching for new designs for knit work.
I am not considering myself as a good knitter, but I love knitting in winter!
And my family just enjoy my knits as Christmas gifts.
Moreover I think that DIY christmas presents are the most personal ones and shows some effort in the gift giving.

So since 5 years I offer some knitted pieces to my family for Christmas.
With the help of the following 3 Youtube Channels though, who are just my knitting saviors right now!

The first channel is IKNITS

This channel is the one of the lovely Christine from the U.S. What makes me love her channel is the variety of nice patern and design. Her designs are not only gorgeous but also very modern for women, men and kids.
I think iKNITS is the first knittin YouTube Channel I started to follow.
But it was not easy, as I learnedd the basics of knitting in French, and the system is a bit different. However, Christine is to clear and precised that I found very easily the correspondances :-)
Christine, if you read this: thanks for your sweet knitting YouTube Channel !
You can also find her on Facebook and other social networks.

The second channel is Fadinou

This channel is the Pandora's box of paterns!! She is sooo talented! The designs you can find on Fadinou's channel /blog are humongous, from the basic scarf, beanie, socks for men, women, kids, or babies to her last one (when I wrote this article) which is a ... knitted mermaid tail !!!!
It is the craziest collection of designs that I have discover online, but it is only in French.
But of course youmay have other discoveries ;-)

The third channel is Wool And The Gang

Wool and The Gang is not just a YouTube channel with knits tutorials, but also an amazing company selling paterns, quality wool, and knitting kits containing a set of knitting needles with patern and wool together.
I discover them thanks to a friend of mine - who I actually wish I could more - Virginie Peny, who is a blogger and entrepreneur in Zurich.
I learned to knit with my granny as was around 14 year old, but I really started to knit when I was in my 20s. And Wool and The Gang helped me a lot to remember the basic stitches and discover new ones.
I advise their tutorials for learning the stitches, their available in different languages!

Once in while I post some work in progress on my Instagram:

Have fun, post comments, and take care!

BACK ONLINE

Hi every one !!!

I really want to apologize for my irregularity here.

I stopped posting, because I was kind of depressed for many things that happened to me at the same time.
By the end of 2012 until July 2013:
- I lost my Job
- I got my only 10 months old Laptop stolen... VERY practical when your on a Job hunt.
- I found a new Job (yes it is better) , BUT they took Advantage of me, and made me work for very bad condition.

BUT I will stop complaining, beacause after all this mess, I did find the time to post more, because I found love.
I thought he was the one but well... He was not. C'est la Vie !

But also inbetween, I left Bavaria, and I moved to BERLIN one of my favorite City on earth - even if I did not travel so much. I love living in here.
There is so much to see, and so much to enjoy, that pushed me to get in touch with you guys again.

THEREFORE I AM BACK ONLINE.
I hope I'll post more regularly. But As usual I cannot promise a Deadlines.
Furthermore some categories will come back very soon.

Have fun reading, put some comments, I'll enjoy, AND TAKE CARE OF YOU !!!

Lots of love,
AnnFlo

Hi Everyone!

First of all I want to wish my few readers a wonderful HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016 !!!

For my first post of 2016, I am back with my favorite category on this blog 1 Song 3 Verions.
As I already said in many different previous posts, I love music, and I love to share one of my passions.
I know: to love music is not something very original, but that takes a very big part of my life.
As you already seen, I like so much different kind of music genres, and sharing 3 versions of one song is also funny for me.

So, back to business, today's song is Personal Jesus. This was launch at the end of the 1980s, exactly 1989, and was a very huge success all around the globe. All versions just like the original one are - I think - very famous.
I let you enjoy the song !

The first version: the original from Depeche Mode

The second version: the legend Johnny Cash

Third Version: the King of owning a cover Marilyn Manson

Let me Introduce you: Toulouse! #4

Hello Everybody!

This summer/fall I took time for myself and revitalized myself and went to France quite a long time.
Usually I stay maximum 2 weeks everytime I go/fly to France, and it is always a run. I have to rush to meet everyone of my friends and family, and therefore I cannot enjoy the time with them as I wish.
But this time I had time, and this was amazing: Paris, Bagnoles de l'Orne, Argentan, Carrouges, Vires, Saint-Hilaire du Harcouet, Avranches, Carolles, Paris, Bordeaux, Arcachon, Pyla sur Mer, Toulouse, Paris - That was my revitalizing trip in France! I did not documented everything, if you want to see more you can check my IG under @annflos !!!

And here is Toulouse, where I visited a friend, who I met in Berlin, my Lovely Meli :-D

Just in case, here is a little map, then you can situate where Toulouse exactly in France :-)

This is a pic of the Pont-Neuf ("New Bridge") taken from the Pont Saint-Pierre (Saint Peter's Bridge)

This is Meli & I on the Pont Saint-Pierre.

Here is the Quai de l'Exil Républicain Espagnol (Quay of the Spanish republican Exile) and L'hôpital de La Grave taken from the Quai de la Daurade (my favorite neighbourhood in Toulouse, where the best Lebanese Restaurant of the city is)

Some cute house made of some kind of red bricks, like everywhere in the city, thus Toulouse is called La ville rose (The pink city)

Here is Le port de la Daurade (Habour of the Daurade) taken from the Quai Lombard, with the cute terrasse of the Café des artistes, where it is so nice and cute to take the Apéro (but FYI it is very expensive) !

On this pic is a part of the Basilique de la Daurade - And yep even a basilica is in Toulouse made of red bricks :-)

In the Rue Jean Suau are some nice pubs, restaurants and bars, still in the Neighbourhood of La Daurade, including the quoted Lebanese !

The Arcades around the Place du Capitol are just gorgeous !

The famous and beautiful Place du Capitol was taken at sundown and I love it !

The Rue de la Trinité brings us to the Place de la Trinité also a very nice place to take the Apéro on a terrasse!

Place de la Trinité

Time for the Apéro !!! :-D

This was my view of Toulouse !

Have fun, post comments, and take care!

Lots of Love!
